During the occupation, Aalborg had a large group of German troops, primarily because of the nearby airports and because Aalborg is located close to Norway. Furthermore, the first resistance group in Denmark was formed in 1941 in Aalborg – the well-known Churchill Club. We pass the Gestapo headquarters and other strategically important buildings during World War II.
